Martina is an author and art historian living in Washington, DC, and Munich. She has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing and media industry and as a freelance writer. After studying Creative Writing with an accomplished US American novelist Martina published her first novel in 2024, which was inspired by the stories of her mother. The historical novel, a mix of political intrigue, thriller, and romance and set in Vienna and Karachi in the late 1950s, has received many excellent reviews on social media, Amazon, and Goodreads and won the 2025 “International Impact Book Award” for Historical Fiction.


The novel
1958. “The Ambassador’s Offer” tells the story of young, adventurous Brigitta, who receives an unusual offer to work at the Austrian Embassy of Karachi because her predecessor has disappeared mysteriously. She accepts on a whim, travels to Pakistan, and gets immersed in her new role and the dazzling embassy events. When she finds out that not everything is as it seems and falls in love with the liberal student Yusuff, fighting against the military regime, she needs to make a decision that might change her life forever.
